I have now started writing the synopsis for the fifth book in the series about Arne Olofsson and his colleagues at the Nyköping police department. I already feel that it will be exciting, with a couple of really interesting cases. Writing a synopsis is a fun and difficult part of creating a book. But it's like laying the foundation for a house. You can't be sloppy. If I do it properly, it will be easier to build the house and also make it good. After that, there will be a long process of refining the story and doing research together with my dramaturg. Then the actual writing begins. When it's finished, there will be quality assurance and printing of the book itself. It usually takes me between two and three years to finish a book. I'm aiming for 2027.
