I have written an exciting and enjoyable series of crime novels set in Sörmland. It consists of four books and I have started working on the fifth book in the series.
My debut came in the fall of 2015 with the book Den som ger(The One Who Gives), which was nominated for the Selma Prize. The sequel, Sara, was one of five finalists for the Selma Prize in 2018. Motivation: "A gripping thriller at its best—stripped down and intimate." The third book in the series is titled Sydväst om Ytterskär (Southwest of Yttersk är ) and was released in 2020. It is largely based on true events that I have woven together into a fictional thriller. My latest book, Den osynlige tjuven (The Invisible Thief), won the 2024 Selma Prize. "A feel-good detective story with everything you could want."
Arne Olofsson and his colleagues at the Nyköping Police Department reappear in all four books where you get to know them and their lives. The stories take place in the present day, where I mix a light-hearted tone with deep seriousness and write excitingly without being violent. The readers feel that there is a good dialog and drive in the stories, which makes them easy to read. To achieve a high level of credibility, I have collaborated with many different experts such as police officers and doctors. I work closely with a professional dramaturge to refine and develop my stories and I employ a tough quality editor with nearly thirty years of experience in fact-checking, language and graphics. The books are available as paperback, e-book, audio book and talking book.
I have finished writing a novel based on true events that took place in the small northern Swedish community of Trehörningsjö between 1949 and 1965. It will be published in June 2026. Read more here: The Dentist in Trehörningsjö
